All Oni Armament Locations
Quick Answer
Oni Armaments are meter-powered special attacks recharged by blue souls. This page covers where every verified armament is obtained (six are documented by AppMedia with location details); the separate best Oni Armaments page answers which one to bring. Known so far: the twin swords 双刀【二天】 (called “The Two Celestials” by IGN) from the Kiyomizu rope-source event, a wind blade 両刃【風巻】 from your first visit to the training hall, a great hammer 大鎚【地鳴】 on Laboratory B4, plus three more found in later areas. English localization names are only confirmed for a few — treat the JP names as canonical until your menu shows the EN text.
Who this is for: players hunting a specific armament, and readers who found the best armaments ranking but not the locations.
How Oni Armaments Work
Oni Armaments are special weapons on a meter: blue souls recharge them, and each armament changes your special attack (IGN review; soul economy on the best upgrades page). You switch loadouts at equipment screens, and their upgrades sit in the special-ability tree paid with Oni Stones. Armaments and their upgrades carry into New Game+.
Verified Armament Locations
COMMUNITY REPORTED Location data below is from AppMedia (JP, 2026-09). Japanese names are the canonical item names; English localizations are confirmed only where noted.
| Armament (JP / EN if confirmed) | Location | Stage / condition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twin Swords — “The Two Celestials” (双刀【二天】, per IGN) | Kiyomizu area | During the Kiyomizu stage — destroy the rope source (紐の根源) | Releases more yellow souls on hit (healing economy) |
| Dual Blade 両刃【風巻】 | Kyoto hub | First visit to the training hall (鍛錬の間) | Wide-area attack — crowd clearing |
| Great Hammer 大鎚【地鳴】 | Underground Laboratory | Floor B4 (地下研究所 地下4階) | Crushes enemy force (力動) gauges |
| Demon Flute 魔笛【火鳥】 | Path of the Sword (剣の道) | Duel event — after sealing the 2nd hell-window (獄窓), nearby chest | Fires burning birds (fire status) |
| Sharp Spear 鋭槍【閃空】 | Mount Oe (大江山) | From the castle-entrance Spirit Mirror, follow the narrow path; chest | High single-target damage |
| Long Sword 太刀【止水】 | Ōnuma (大沼【壱】) | North path from the Ōnuma Spirit Mirror; chest at the end | Strengthens normal attacks; launches a cutting wave with its secret art |
Missable / Story Pickup Status
Unverified — pending verification
Missable status is not verified for these pickups. The Niten twin swords and the training-hall blade come from story progress and are hard to bypass; the later four sit in optional-looking chests. If you pass an area, your best safety net is the point-of-no-return save before the final mission (The Clash at Rendaino) — finish chest hunting first.
Best Time to Collect
- The training-hall blade is effectively free — visit the hall as soon as it opens.
- Niten twin swords arrive during the Kiyomizu story event — keep an eye on the rope-source objective rather than rushing the boss.
- The later three (Demon Flute, Sharp Spear, Long Sword) are in mid/late areas (Sword Path, Mount Oe, Ōnuma) — grab them as you clear those regions; they change your special-attack options before the endgame.
Trophy / Achievement Note
COMMUNITY REPORTED Guide sites connect full armament collection and max upgrades to trophy requirements (e.g. a “Well-Rounded” style achievement tied to fully upgraded skills), and note that Oni Stone scarcity means some max upgrades span two playthroughs (Oni Stones guide). Specific trophy names are not yet verified here.
